Printer Setup
TORO supports receipt printers for transaction receipts and label printers for barcode labels. Configuring your printers correctly ensures receipts print automatically after each sale and labels print on demand from inventory management.
Receipt Printer Setup
- 1 Connect the receipt printer to your POS device via USB, Bluetooth, or network
- 2 Navigate to Settings from the Dashboard
- 3 Go to Printer Settings
- 4 Select Receipt Printer and choose the connected printer from the list
- 5 Print a test receipt to verify the connection
- 6 Configure receipt options: auto-print on sale, number of copies, receipt header/footer text
- 7 Save your settings
Label Printer Setup
- 1 Connect the label printer to your POS device
- 2 Go to Printer Settings in the Dashboard
- 3 Select Label Printer and choose the connected device
- 4 Configure label size and format settings
- 5 Print a test label to verify
Supported Printers
TORO is compatible with most standard thermal receipt printers and label printers. Popular compatible models include Epson TM series, Star Micronics TSP series, and DYMO label printers. Check with TORO support for specific model compatibility.
Key Points
- Printers are not required — TORO works without a printer connected
- Receipt printers can also trigger the cash drawer to open
- You can customize the receipt header and footer with your store name and message
- If the printer goes offline during a transaction, the sale still completes
- Receipts can be reprinted from the transaction history
