Humidor Health — TORO Add-on Module
Everyone else watches two numbers.
We watch four.
Wireless SensorPush sensors. 24/7 cloud monitoring. One honest score per humidor — with a plain-English verdict and a chart for every reading in your shop.
Here's the problem nobody talks about: Temperature and relative humidity — the old "70/70" — don't tell the whole story. Relative humidity is a percentage, and a percentage hides how much water is actually in the air. Heat the room two degrees and your hygrometer drops five points even though nothing moved. Two shops at the same "70%" but different temperatures are pulling moisture out of cigars at completely different rates. And overnight condensation on your glass door? Two numbers will never catch that. Dew point and VPD will.
See it in action
Every humidor in your shop gets a live dashboard — score, readings, trends, and what to do next. All in one screen.
Color-coded Health Score
The big number at the top — 0–100% — with a plain-English verdict like "94% Excellent, holding steady" or "58% — Condensation risk: glass likely sweating overnight." You know what to fix, not just that something's off.
Per-metric score breakdown
See how each of the four readings contributes to the overall score. Spot the one dial that's dragging everything down without hunting through raw numbers.
Latest Reading vs. 30-Day Average
Color-coded green, amber, or red. Immediately see whether today is better or worse than your baseline — no mental math required.
Six 30-day trend charts
Health, Temp, Humidity, Dew Point, VPD, and an all-metrics overview — each with a dotted trend line so you can see where things are heading, not just where they are now.
Store-hours overlay
Light-gray bands on every chart show when your shop is open. See instantly whether a swing happened while customers were coming and going — or quietly overnight.

Four readings. One honest picture.
Temperature and humidity are where every other system stops. The two below are where the real problems hide.
Temperature
How warm the air is. The main lever for beetles — warmth speeds up their whole life cycle and hatches the eggs already in the leaf. Also controls how fast your cigars age.
Every shop tracks this
Relative Humidity (RH)
How full the air is, relative to what it could hold at this temperature. Useful — but it drifts with temperature even when not a drop of moisture entered or left the room. It lies more than you'd think.
Every shop tracks this
Dew Point
The honest moisture number. Unlike RH, dew point only moves when moisture actually enters or leaves — so it doesn't get fooled by temperature swings. It catches overnight condensation on glass doors, slow leaks, and the kind of "everything looks fine" reading that precedes a ruined box by three days.
VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit)
A temperature-aware read on how hard the air is pulling moisture out of your cigars. Two shops at identical 70% humidity but different temperatures are not experiencing the same drying stress — VPD exposes exactly how much. It's why Shop B's customers slowly notice the cigars feel drier and the owner never figures out why.
The Humidor Health Score
You shouldn't have to be a meteorologist to know if your humidor is okay. TORO takes all four readings and rolls them into a single, honest number. 100% means vault-grade storage. The lower the number, the more your cigars need you.
But it's not just an average. Dangerous conditions cap the score into the red no matter how good the other readings look — beetle-range heat, mold-favorable humidity, condensation risk. You can't average your way out of a real danger.
Stability counts too. A humidor holding a rock-steady 66% scores higher than one that "averages" 69% but swings 64–74. The swing is what splits wrappers. The score catches it.
Score bands
| 90–100% Excellent | Vault-grade. Everything dialed in and stable. |
| 75–89% Healthy | Good storage, minor room to tighten up. |
| 60–74% Fair | Watch it. Something is drifting. |
| 40–59% At risk | Act soon. Cigars are being affected. |
| Below 40% Critical | Beetles, mold, or bone-dry. Act now. |
| — — Offline | No recent reading. Score is unknown, not "perfect." |
Every score comes with a plain-English reason — "94% — Excellent, holding steady" or "58% — Condensation risk: glass likely sweating overnight" — so you always know what to fix, not just that something is off.
It doesn’t just watch. It tells you why.
TORO cross-references your climate swings against your door traffic, the weather outside, and who was on the clock — then explains, in plain English, what’s really moving your humidor and what to do about it.
The hardware behind the numbers
TORO uses SensorPush wireless sensors — high-accuracy temperature and humidity sensors designed and made in the USA (Brooklyn, NY). Not off-the-shelf overseas hardware. Not a disposable gadget you replace every season.
SensorPush's reliable gateway pushes readings to the cloud constantly, which means TORO can watch your humidors 24/7 — even at 2 AM, even when you're on vacation. Long battery life. No wiring. Just place the sensor and walk away.
The hardware is trustworthy. TORO is the intelligence on top — the score, the alerts, the trend charts, the store-hours overlay, the dew point, the VPD, the plain-English verdict. That's the part nobody else has.
Designed & Made in the USA
SensorPush builds their sensors in Brooklyn, NY. Quality you can trust for inventory worth thousands.
24/7 cloud push
Readings go to the cloud continuously via a reliable gateway — TORO watches even when the shop is dark.
Long battery life
Place the sensor and forget about it. No wiring, no weekly charging, no babysitting.
High-accuracy readings
The data the score is built on is accurate. Garbage in, garbage out — SensorPush takes garbage off the table.
What else comes with the module
The score is the headline. The rest of the module makes it actionable.
Real-time alerts
Get warned before a "fine" reading turns into a ruined box. Not after.
Six 30-day trend charts
Health, Temp, Humidity, Dew Point, VPD, and an all-metrics overview. Each with a dotted trend line and light-gray bands showing your open hours — so you can see if a swing happened while you were there or while you were home.
One tile per humidor
Every humidor in your shop gets its own tile: current score, color status, and latest reading at a glance.
Altitude-aware
Thin mountain air dries cigars faster. TORO reads your elevation and shows its small effect — so high-elevation shops are never left guessing.
Climate Insights
When a swing happens, TORO explains why — weather patterns, door traffic, staffing levels. Not just a number. An explanation.
